President's Corner
Greetings Sorors and Friends,
On behalf of the members of Leavenworth Alumnae Chapter, welcome to our website! We are an organization of college educated women committed to constructive development of our members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.
In March of 1913, the Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. performed their first public act. They participated in the Women's Suffrage March in Washington, D.C. To preserve the legacy of our 22 Founders, we are focused on our sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
Leavenworth Alumnae Chapter was chartered April 30, 1989 and has faithfully served this community through scholarship and community service. We are forever thankful for the continued support provided by our families and friends in the community of which we serve. We believe in the power of collaboration and welcome opportunities to partner with organizations that align with our purpose.
Please explore our site for more information about programs, projects and events that the Leavenworth Alumnae Chapter has scheduled. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Yours in Sisterhood and Service,
